Machinarium and Samorost developer Amanita Design that its next puzzle adventure game Chuchel will be coming to desktops on March 7.
The crazy fuzzball Chuchel sets out on a slapstick adventure, looking to “retrieve his cherished cherry.” Players will have to solve puzzles, as they move through a comedic story line that is what Amanita Design say is the focus of the game.
According to the Czech-based developer, players will have to “outsmart the Pool Monster, escape frenzied Pac-Men and master the bird race. Join forces with Chuchel’s buddy Kekel and show the mischievous Chuchel that stealing cherries is wrong.”
Amanita Design began to tease the game’s development back in Nov. 2016, originally thinking that it’d be ready for release in the second half of 2017. As that year ran on, the studio bumped back the estimated launch date to “early 2018.”
The puzzle game will launch for Windows and macOS desktops, to be available for download from Steam, GOG, Itch.io, and The Humble Store. No formal announcement has been made, but it can be expected that it’ll be following to mobile devices later this year.
