Scribblenauts Showdown will be the next outing from the famous word spelling puzzle franchise, and it’ll be coming by way of Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Spotted on Twain’s Game and Software Rating Information board website, the posting also exposed the Scribblenauts Showdown game’s cover image featuring the main characters, siblings Maxwell and Lily poised for a duel. Further details have yet to be made available.

Ratings typically begin popping up around the time that a company is ready to reveal and release a product, so fans can probably expect a more formal announcement in the upcoming weeks.

In March of last year, Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell laid off 45 game developers along with the announcement of the cancellation for its still-in-production Scribblenauts: Fighting Words. Based on the cover image of Showdown, it may point to 5th Cell picking up the Fighting Words project and repurposing it for the new hardware platforms.

It’s been a few years since 5th Cell has launched a new game in the Scribblenauts franchise, the last one being Scribblenauts Unmasked that came out in 2013.

Scribblenauts series kicked off on the Nintendo DS back in 2009.
