Following last week’s bean spilling from Thimbleweed Park co-creator Ron Gilbert about bringing the game to Nintendo Switch, the developer is now revealing that it’ll also be heading to PlayStation 4 on Aug. 22.
Throughout Terrible Toybox’s journey from Kickstarter success to their March 30 launch, it’s been the developer’s goal to bring the puzzle adventure game to fans no matter what their preferred gaming platform might be.
“Ever since the initial launch on 30th March, we’ve been hammered with questions about when it’ll be coming to PlayStation,” writes Gilbert. “It’s exciting to see that the interest in this game extends far beyond the die-hard adventure game fans who backed it and we’re thrilled to bring Thimbleweed Park to a whole new audience with our PS4 launch…”
Pricing details haven’t yet been released.
An official announcement for a Nintendo Switch release of Thimbleweed Park is expected to come soon.
Android and iOS versions have been confirmed and are expected to be released sometime later this year, but developers haven’t yet let any dates slip. Thimbleweed Park is currently available on Xbox One, Windows, macOS, and Linux.
